With the commencing of third phase of the ‘Back to Village’ Phase-2, District Development Commissioner, Hashmat Ali Khan along with Additional Deputy Commissioner,  Ganderbal Farooq Ahmad Baba took an extensive tour of far-off Panchayats of the district including Preng and Mammer Panchayats where they participated in public interactions  and discussed issues of public importance with visiting officers of these Panchayats.In the third leg of the programme, the district administration Ganderbal covered remaining 45  Panchayats of the district where visiting officers visited their designated Panchayats and interacted with people who apprised them about the developmental needs of their areas  and briefed them about various schemes launched by the government.During the public meetings, locals put up their demands and requirements including upgradation  of inner   roads, fencing along power cannal, compensation to orchardists,  fencing of school at Preng, augmentation of power, health, construction of bridge on Mammer Nallah besides  other development related issues of the area.On the occasion, the DDC said that the   B2V2 is an appreciable and ambitious step of the government which provides opportunities  to the people to develop their areas as per their needs especially living in such far flung areas.

Director General, Women and Child Development, Mir Tariq Ali visted Mammer where he held a detailed interaction with the people of the area and explained them about various  developmental programmes and schemes initiated by the government for the overall development of the rural areas and had feedback regarding the development needs of the  areas and implementation of 1st   phase of “Back to Village” programme. The DC, ADC, SDM Kangan, Tehsildar Kangan, Surpanch,  Panchs besides officials from all line  departments were also present on the occasion.Similarly, CEO WAKAF Board, Mufti Fareed-u- Din, Visiting Officer Panchayat Preng, along with DC, ADC, SDM Kangan held a  meeting with official of line departments and assessed their performances in the area. He also explained the DC about the demands and grievances of the people.After chairing a  meeting, CEO stressed on all departments to reach out to the local populace and make them aware about the schemes available with the concerned departments.
