District Development Commissioner, Rohit Khajuria along with district officers conducted an extensive tour of far off Panchayats of the district including Upper and Lower Khara Madhana, Katwalta, Sangar, Deon and Anandpur, Utterbehni block Purmandal to take first hand review of 'Back to Village' programme-2.During the visit, the DDC participated in public meetings held in these Panchayats during which locals put up their demands and requirements including construction of roads, piped water connections, uninterrupted power supply, setting up of coaching centre, commercial vehicles plying in the block besides other development related issues of the area.The DDC informed that all households in Samba district shall have piped water connections under Jal Jeevan mission by 2020 June. He directed the Executive Engineer PHE to take up matter of construction of dug well and tube wells in the villages as per the availability of resources. He laid emphasis on providing regular and uninterrupted power supply besides augmenting the sanctioned transformers strength and erection of new electric poles.
