The second leg of ‘Back to Village- phase II’ concluded here across this mountainous district with developmental and social activities in rural areas gaining further momentum amid start of several new projects and programmes.During the four days, the district administration carried out multiple- activities enshrined in the programme.District Development Commissioner, Dr Sagar D Doifode, who is closely monitoring the program, informed that 161 Panchayats have been covered in first two segments in a successful manner. He said that the third and last leg of the programme will start from tomorrow across 76 remaining Panchayats of the district and continue fortwo days.Meanwhile, multifarious activities were undertaken under the program in each Gram Panchayat (GP). In block Kastigarh, a renovated Pond was inaugurated at Bijal Kotli , while foundation stone of toilet complex was laid at village Mandi, Field bund at SC Mohalla.Cleanliness drive in schools, conduct of sports and singing events, Gram Sabhas, review of basic amenities and essential supplies were also held. At Bhaderwah block, visiting officer inaugurated upgraded Udrana to Dandi link road.Director Agriculture Jammu Pawan Singh Rathore, hold Gram Sabha at Panchayat Misrata of Block Bhaderwah, Agriculture department also organised an exhibition cum Kissan Mela. The Director also reviewed the performance of the local agriculture department and laid foundation stone of Vermi compost structure under Back to Village-II.
