Day 4 of Back to Village-2 in Anantnag : 27 works inaugurated, foundation stones for 72 works laid

On the fourth day of the Back to Village Phase-II (B2V2) programme in Anantnag, the visiting officers inaugurated 27 works and also laid foundation stone on 72 new works in various blocks of the district.The inauguration of works related to tile paths, development works at grave yards, construction of lanes/ drains, development of irrigation lads, fencing of grave yards, development of springs, foot crossing, renovation of springs, construction of link loads, construction of E-Walls and development of public parks. While as, foundation stone of 72 works including constructions of irrigation lads, link roads, earth filling of grave yards, construction of drains, tile lanes, construction of culverts, development of public parks, construction of foot crossing, development of lanes, fencing of grave yards, improvement of link roads, construction of bathrooms/ latrines near play grounds, fencing of public parks, construction of drinking water stream, construction of foot paths, construction of washrooms near Masjid Shariefs, construction of irrigation channel, development of PHCs and retaining walls near Ziyarat shariefs.As part of the programme the District Development Commissioner, Anantnag, Khalid Jahangir laid foundation stone of playground at Govt. Modal Higher Secondary School Bulbul Nowgam costing Rs 12 lakh. The DDC on the occasion stressed upon the general public to take full advantage of B2V2 in projecting their genuine demands and core issues related to various sectors of the government. He also directed the officers to document the demands/issues by the general public during the programme.During the “B2V2” held in various blocks, people projected various demands related to supply of drinking water, changing of  old water pipes, supply of electric conductor poles and high voltage transformers, supply of power as per curtailment schedule, sanction of relief for orchards, establishment of Veterinary/ Sheep Centres, issuances of KCC loans, construction of protection bunds on nallahs, restoration of damaged water pipes, water logging on roads, desilting of irrigation lads and canals, concession of electric fee, supply of high yielding verity seeds, machinery and declaring of Agriculture seed villages, supply of high density plants, supply of timber and construction of vermicompost units.The visiting officers heard the demands with patience and assured the public that their genuine demands would be fulfilled in a short span of time while as demands related to establishment of government institutions will be sent to the higher authorities for consideration.
