Day 4 of Back to Village-2 in Baramulla : Cheques worth Rs 23.03 lakh distributed among 274 construction workers

On the fourth day of the Back to Village Phase-II (B2V2) programme in Baramulla, Additional Deputy Commissioner Sopore distributed cheques worth Rs 23.03 lakh among the registered 274 beneficiaries under J&K Building and other Construction Workers Scheme at a function held at Bomai, Sopore. During the function number of stalls were established by various government departments to inform the public about various government sponsored schemes.In other functions, the visiting officer Chandoosa, Director Finance Forest Department Shri Ranbir Singh, visiting officer Shrakwara Ghulam Nabi Bhat, Deputy Secretary to Government Health and Medical Education Department and the visiting officer for Wagoora Mohd Assadullah Rather, General Manager District Industries Centre Baramulla, visited various Panchayat Halqas of their respective blocks during which they took part in several activities. They interacted with the people and discussed about their developmental needs.The visiting officers also reviewed the status of the works approved during B2V1 programme.The visiting officer Ranbir Singh also took part in the plantation drive at Chandoosa and highlighted the importance of plantation in the society. Highlighting the importance of Back to Village programme, the visiting officers said that the programme is a milestone in achieving rural development besides listening to the grievances and issues of the people of rural areas at their doorstep. They asked the people to avail benefits under the programme.
