The second segment of Back to Village-II programme starting today witnessed series of activities across 82 Panchayats of this mountainous district.The designated officers, including some Several state level officers, attended the program. They distributed MGNREGA Job Cards, inaugurated completed works like PMAY houses, Jal Shakti Abhiyan ponds, MGNREGA works. They also conducted Gram Sabhas, finalised the GPDP plans, discussed the critical gaps, inspected development activities and read out the Mission Antodaya survey,The first leg of activities was successfully conducted in 79 Panchayats during last two days with keen participation of men, women, elderly people, youth and Panchayat representatives.The day also witnessed interaction of officers with cross section of society to understand their problems, issues, grievances and demands which shall be projected to higher authorities through a detailed prescribed Performa.They also sought information about the implementation of various individual oriented beneficiary schemes on the ground level.Meanwhile, District Development Commissioner, Dr Sagar D Doifode visited Panchayat Birshala of Block Ghat(Doda) and interacted with general public and listened their grievances.The DDC expressed hope that the feedback so obtained will help the government to assess the needs and prime requirements of people. He urged upon the cross section of society to participate in large numbers so that a viable database as well as vision document could be framed by the district authorities for the overall development of their Panchayat in consultation with the higher authorities .He urged for judicious and optimum utilization of the two day segment in accordance with the desired objectives and parameters set by the government.
