The 2nd segment of ‘Back to Village’ Phase II (B2V2) witnessed series of activities across 26 panchyats of Gool, Sangaldan and Gundidharam blocks, here today.The designated officers along with other local functionaries visited their designated Panchayat Halqas and interacted with people and briefed them about various schemes launched by the government. Several Gram Sabhas were also held.During the interactions, the local people gave detailed feedback regarding road connectivity, health and hygiene, sanitation, drinking water facilities etc.The officers explained them various developmental programmes and schemes initiated by the government for the overall development of the rural areas.Officers had feedback regarding the implementation of 1st phase of “Back to Village” programme. They inspected the working of local schools, health institutions, AWCs, Banks and government assets. Interactions were also held with the representatives of PRIs, frontline workers and prominent citizens to discuss and deliberate upon the core issues of villages.The Visiting officers educated the people about GPDP booklet and 14FC Plan besides checking purchase record registers for MDM and ICDS during their visits to the Anganwari Centers.The first day of this unique programme in block Gool, Sangaldan and Gundidharam witnessed an overwhelming participation of locals.
