The farmers of Panchayat Kollarh of block Purmandal today acquainted with the latest grading, packing & branding techniques to enable them to make their produce more presentable.  A presentation on the latest packing technique, introduced by the Horticulture Planning and Marketing department in the district, was given to the farmers as part of Back to Village Phase-II programme in presence of Visiting Officer Vivek Sharma (Member Service Selection Board). On her second visit to the allotted Panchayat, Vivek Sharma took a review of all developmental works and conducted Gram Sabha which was attended by local Sarpanch, Panchs & villagers, besides AMO Priya Darshini, BDO Purmandal Sandeep Singh, AGMO Samba Anuj Verma and officials from a number of departments.The Visiting officer asked local farmers to make optimum use of their agriculture land and shift to Super Food Crops like Flaxseeds, Mushrooms, Karri Patta, Bell Pepper etc. which can be grown in Kandi areas and would fetch good price in the market.AGMO, Anuj Verma also gave a presentation on making low cost Zero Energy Cool Chambers- a traditional alternative to big Cold Stores for keeping fruits and other agriculture produce fresh.

Later, the Visiting Officer inspected stalls put on by various departments. She appreciated efforts put in by the Department of Horticulture Planning and Marketing in helping local growers in Value Addition of their products by introducing better grading, packing, labeling and branding techniques.
