Director Horticulture Jammu, Raj Kumar Katoch conducted two day visit of Mansar Panchyat and listened to the issues of locals with regard to development and provision of essential services.He interacted with the PRI members and the officers/officials of different department and discussed with them B2V1 report card, critical gap analysis and obtained feedback on follow up activities in the Gram Sabha.He inspected Anganwadi centres, schools, local Public Health Centre (PHC), PHE Pumping stations and the ongoing projects. He also checked Karwai register of the Panchyat. He briefed the PRI members about their role in the implementation of various departmental schemes as local government. He advised them to assign different departments among them so as to provide essential services to the people in a better manner.A Gram Sabha was organized where at locals raised a range of demands seeking better road connectivity, street lights, parking slots, public convenience etc. The people sought issuance of pending ration cards, supply of nutrition to all the ICDS centres for the last month.
