The visiting officers under Back to Village-Phase II, today inaugurated several developmental works and attended 61 gram sabahs in 11 blocks of the district.Director Rural Development, Kashmir Qazi Sarwar, visited Panchayat Halqa, Meej and listened to the issues of public importance.He also inaugurated some the works who were taken up during B2V2 programme in June and also distributed the sporting kits among the players.Director General Planning/Development Department, S. Billal Ahmad toured the Panchayat halqa Konibal.Meanwhile Manzoor Ahmad Bhat, Additional Commissioner, Commercial Tax Department, visited the Panchayat Halqa Konibal and laid foundation of various developmental works.Similarly, Ghulam Dastegeer Alam, Under Secretary Finance Department visited Patal Bagh.Director Tourism, Nisar Ahmad Wani, visited Pahoo Block Kakapora. Director Higher Education, G.M Ganie visited Achan Block Litter where he distributed job cards.The locals interacted with the visiting officers and put forth their demands and issues with regard to inadequate water supply, playfields, electricity, macdamization and repair of roads, construction of lanes and drains, up gradation of schools, healthcare facilities, installation of transmission lines, repairs of damaged transformers and other Issues.Similar events were held in Panchayat Halqas of other Blocks of the district, where visiting officers listened the grievances of the people and assured them that the genuine demands would be taken up with the administration for early redressal.
