Day-3 of Back to Village-2 : Visiting officers profile dev needs of 66 Panchayats in Kulgam

On the third day of ‘Back to Village’ Phase II (B2V2), visiting officers interacted with the people and profiled their development needs in 66 halqas.Director Urban Local Bodies, Riyaz Ahmad Wani (visiting officer), dedicated a paddy thresher to village Ashmuji under the programme in the presence of District Agriculture officer Kulgam, Dawood Ahmad and other officers and officials.The visiting officers said that under the ‘Back to Village’ programe more paddy threshers will be distributed in other Panchayats.Meanwhile, Gram Sabhas were held in various areas of the district wherein visiting officers registered the grievances and demands of the people. They also inspected several institutions which include Aaganwadi centres, health institutions, and educational institutes to take stock of their functioning.The officers also took stock of the developmental works and reviewed the status of work projects identified under the first phase of ‘Back to Village’ programme.
