On Day-3 of B2V2 programme, Deputy Commissioner Shopian, Chaudhary Mohammad Yasin along with visiting officer Secretary BOPEE (Board of Professional Entrance Examination), Dr Hafeez Masoodi, District Panchayat Officer and other officers, visited far-flung Heerpora Village of the district.The programme was held at Government Higher Secondary School Shopian where a huge gathering of people participated. The people of the area raised various issues and demands such as construction of footbridge, Installation of electric poles, upgradation of schools, better road connectivity, macadamization of roads and link roads, setting up of health centres, irrigation faculties, pending works of the areas, streets lights, repairs of lanes and drains etc. They also demanded proper assessment of damage to the orchards due to recent snowfall in the district.Speaking on the occasion, DC listened to the issues and demands raised by the locals of the Heerpora and assured them that their genuine demands will be redressed and fulfilled at an earliest. He also said that no stone will be left unturned to facilitate the people of Heerpora village especially downtrodden and Below Poverty Line (BPL).
