A series of activities of 2nd phase of “Back to Village” programme were today held across 68 panchyats of Banihal, Ramsu, Khari and Ukhral here across Ramban district.District Development Commissioner, Nazim Zai Khan visited several panchayats of Block Ukhral including Hewagan, Ukhral, Batro, Alanbass, Pogal on 2nd day of the programme.He was accompanied by Assistant Commissioner Development Ramban Zameer Rishu, BDO’s and other officer and officials of RDD during the visit.The DDC said that ‘’Back to Village”-II programmes witnessed massive participation of locals especially women in Gram Sabhas, public interactions, sports activities, anti plastic drive and awareness campaigns besides other related activities. During his visit, the public apprised the DDC about their demands and issues.Responding to demands, the DDC directed the concerned officers to take necessary action for redressing the public issues on priority basis. The DC informed that all the frontline officials and officers of different departments participated in programme. He also interacted with the visiting officers, PRIs and general public and appreciated their efforts for strengthening Panchyati Raj Intuitions and accelerating development process in rural areas.
