On the second day of Back to Village Programme Phase-II (B2V2) in Baramulla, ADC Baramulla Mohammad Ahsan Mir distributed Rs 77.42 lakh among 882 Building and Other Construction Workers as Financial assistance registered by the Labour Department at Matipora, Pattan.On the occasion he also distributed eight community base mechanized Paddy Thrashers for eight panchayat halqas of the area. ADC also distributed LPG Chullahs among some identified beneficiaries besides some tool kits by the Agriculture Department were also distributed. He also distributed sports kits among the youth, commendation certificates among the best sports persons and handed over sports items to some sarpanchs for its distribution among the youth in their respective halqas.The ADC inspected some stalls installed by various departments viz Horticulture, Agriculture, Social Welfare, Education, JK Bank etc displaying details about various flagship programmes and schemes spearheaded by these departments. Cultural programmes were also organized by the students which evoked enthralling response from the audience.The ADC stressed upon the people to avail the benefits that can reach to them under the programme. He further said that a major thrust area of the programme will be to assess the progress in follow-up of decisions in 1st phase of Back to Village.SDM Pattern, visiting Officer to Pattan village, district and sectoral officers and other concerned functionaries were present on the occasion.Meanwhile a similar function under the said program was organized at Tapper Pattan wherein the visiting officer SND Andrabi inaugurated a water supply scheme which will provide drinking water to about 300 households. He also inaugurated health and wellness center established under Ayushman Bharat program.
