The second phase of ambitious flagship programme 'Back to Village' began here today with the designated officers performing slew of activities in 72 panchayats of the district.The first day of B2V2 witnessed the designated officers holding meetings with representatives of panchayats and different departments besides conducting public interactions in their assigned panchayats.The designated officers, while interacting with the local people, had feedback on status of issues taken up during phase I of B2V programme. They apprised the people of different government initiatives and welfare schemes meant for socio-economic empowerment of rural areas. Deputy Commissioner Poonch visited various panchayats including Khanater Kalsan, Chaktroo, Sawjian, Gali Maidan and Chamber Kanari and participated in the proceedings of B2V2 program.At Khaneter Kalsan, the program started with the National Anthem in presence of DC and designated officer Secretary JK Advisory Board for development of Gujar and Bakerwals Mukhtar Ahmed Choudhary. A cultural program on the theme of Back to Village programme was also presented on the occasion.Meanwhile, an inspirational movie "Dangal" was also shown in Panchayat Chamber Kanari where DC Poonch, DPO, designated officer and people of the panchayat were present.
