The half dozen MLAs of the Congress led by the President of the Punjab Pradesh Congress Committee Sunil Jakhar and Cabinet Minister Sukhjinder Singh Randhawa vehemently denied the false and baseless allegations levelled by the akali leader Bikram Singh Majithia and termed him as the kingpin of gangsters and drugs. They said that what moral authority has Majithia got to cry wolf when Jagdish Bhola levelled allegations publicly against him for being linked to the Rs. 6000 crore drug trade. SRandhawa challenged the akali leader that he is ready to go to Chief Justice for probe by a present judge of the High Court provided Majithia also agrees for probe into the allegations levelled against him of being associated with drugs and gangsters. In a press conference here today at the Punjab Pradesh Congress Committee Bhawan, Mr. Sunil Jakhar said that after losing his base amongst the people, Majithia has resorted to playing politics over the funeral pyre of its workers.
