Deputy Commissioner Baramulla, Dr G N Itoo, today briefed the media regarding the preparations put in place for the smooth conduct of 2nd phase of “Back to Village’ programme commencing from 25th to 30th November.Addressing the media, the DDC said that for 26 blocks and 402 Panchayat halqas of the district 60 officers have been deployed by GAD while remaining officers have been deployed by the district administration for the smooth conduct of the programme. He sought cooperation of media fraternity for wide publicity of Back to Village phase-II.The DDC said that the programme aims at delivering governance at the doorsteps of the people and speeding up developmental scenario in rural areas.
