'Back to Village-2': Training imparted to 346 officers in Rajouri

District Administration Rajouri today imparted training to 346 visiting officers for 2nd phase of Back to Village programme. Assistant Commissioner  Development Sushil Khajuria and District Panchayat officer Dr.Abdul Khabir imparted the training which was organised under the supervision of District Development Commissioner, Mohammad Aijaz Asad. It was given out that 312 Panchayat Halqas of various blocks are to be covered across the district under Back to village phase-II. The booklets about various activities to be conducted during 2nd Phase of the programme were distributed among the visiting officers. Assistant Commissioner Development and District Panchayat officer informed the Visiting Officers about their responsibilities and activities to be performed during the programme including dissemination of information regarding various centrally and state welfare schemes among the public, checking the functioning of panchayats, visits to local institutions, inspection of works being carried out in the panchayats under various schemes like MGNREGA,14.FC and other government programmes. ACD also highlighted the significance of the Back to village programme saying that the programme has the sole aim of energising the panchayats by making the idea of participatory planning a reality.
