To ensure the successful implementation of Back to Village programme phase II in the district, the District Development Commissioner Rajouri Mohammad Aijaz Asad today convened the meeting of district and sectoral officers here to finalise the modalities.The DDC informed that the phase II of Back to Village programme will be launched later this month as per Instructions of the LG Administration. The meeting discussed several measures to be taken for the implementation of the programme in all Panchayats of the district. The DDC also discussed the critical gaps reported during Back to Village programme phase I. It was decided in the meeting that Block Development officer and other district officer will provide a list of completed works that were reflected in the B2V phase I, while the BDO will also submit a list of all the locations where Special gram sabhas have to be held. The works would be inaugurated by the visiting Officers.The DDC said that the thrust of the Back to Village Phase II will be the individual oriented beneficiary scheme and doubling of per capita income of the farmers. The DDC asked the concerned officers from PDD, RDD, PHE FCS&CA, Agriculture, horticulture, social welfare department, Education department, Fisheries, Animal husbandry and others to submit the list of individual oriented beneficiary schemes with number of beneficiaries covered so far and to be covered  and intended to be covered in the panchayat  under these schemes.

In order to improve the interdepartmental coordination, the DDC directed the district officers to submit a list of all the frontline workers so that the time and place could have been assigned to them well before the commencement of the programme.About the training of officers for B2V Phase II, it was decided that the training shall be conducted on November 21, 2019 by Master trainers in which the officers shall be made aware of various aspects of the  programme so that they can perform their duties in a better manner during the programme.The DDC also took stock of works of different natures identified during the B2V phase I in the rural areas. The works so reviews hold significance in terms of strengthening the agricultural and Rural infrastructure, Empowerment of the women of the rural and border areas and raising the per capita income of the silk rearing farmers to the fruit growers farmers in the district. The DDC asked the Department of Agriculture, Horticulture and sericulture to submit a blueprint for doubling   the per capita income of the farmers.For better coordination, dispensation of the information and compilation of the data, the meeting decided that a District level control room will be established headed by Deputy District Election Officer. The DDC exhorted upon the concerned officers to work with dedication and in tandem for the successful implementation of the Back to Village phase II.The meeting was attended by Additional Deputy Commissioner Rajouri, Sher Singh, Chief Planning officer, SE, PWD, Assistant Commissioner Development and other district and sectoral officers.
