The District Development Commissioner, Anantnag, Khalid Jahangir today undertook an extensive tour of Shangus area of the district.The DDC visited Government Higher Secondary School Bul-Bul Nowgam & GHSS Uttersoo were examinations for 10th class are being conducted to review heating and other arrangements made by the authorities.
The DDC also visited SDH Shangus to take stock of the healthcare facilities.During the visit, the DDC inspected various wards and sections of the hospital. He directed the BMO to ensure installation of analysers and to provide every facility related to healthcare to the patients.The DDC also visited the restoration works of Sheikhpora Irrigation cannel which was damaged by cloudburst and directed the Flood control Department for completion of the protection bunds on the canal.Later several delegations met the DDC, who projected several demands and sought his intervention for their fulfilment. The DDC assured that all their genuine demands would be addressed on priority.Among others the CMO Anantnag, X-ens of PDD, Flood Control, MED, DEPO & other senior officers were present during the visit of the DDC to the areas.
