District Development Commissioner, Budgam, Tariq Hussain Ganai today chaired a meeting of officers to review of progress of works taken up under the ‘Back to Village’ programme in the district.The meeting was attended by ADC Mushtaq Ahmad Simnani, CPO Rafiq Ahmad Dar, ACD Nuzhat Qureshi and officials of concerned departments.The DDC stressed for timely completion of all works taken under the programme, He directed concerned BDOs to ensure that the works are completed within given set time frame.The DDC also reviewed the functioning of Health department and took stock of availability of medicine, vaccines and other essential supplies in view of inclement weather advisory.The DDC directed concerned health authorities to keep adequate stock of adequate medicine and mobile gensets available at all health institutions in the district.Later on, the DDC also held a meeting regarding the preparedness for the census-2021 to be conducted from April 2020.The AD Census Manmeet Singh briefed the meeting about the preparations, pre- census planning, training of master trainers, field trainers through power point presentation.The meeting discussed the creation of district and tehsil level Census cells, identification of snow bound areas, house listing and housing census, population enumeration, role and responsibilities of district level cell and support to field functionary.
