With a view to ensuring 100% coverage of various scholarship schemes for students, Chief Secretary, BVR Subrahmanyam Wednesday exhorted  the concerned Administrative Secretaries and  heads of educational institutions to generate awareness, mentor and encourage the students for availing benefits of various scholarship schemes for furthering their academics.“Students should be informed about the various scholarship schemes and enrolled to ensure that no student is left out of pre and post matric scholarship schemes or any other scheme as per the entitlement. Address a communication to all Vice Chancellors (VCs), Principals and Head Masters in this regard,” Chief Secretary directed Administrative Secretaries of School and Higher Education Departments. He asked them to host a link of all scholarship schemes on their respective departmental websites besides giving due publicity in the print media for information and awareness of the students.Chairing a meeting to review the progress of various social security schemes, Chief Secretary also asked the Administrative Secretaries of the Departments of Social Welfare, Tribal Affairs, Information Technology, Science and Technology and Youth Services and Sports to share the details of the scholarship and fellowship schemes offered by their departments with the School and Higher Education Departments for enhanced awareness among students through their respective educational institutions.
