Deputy Commissioner Shopian Choudhary Mohammad Yasin today visited Mega Fruit Mandi Aglar Shopian to revive the implementation of Market Intervention Scheme (MIS) in the district.He said that under recently launched MIS scheme, around 200000 apple boxes have been procured from registered farmers at New Mega Fruit Mandi Aglar Shopian through the National Agricultural Cooperative Marketing Federation of India Ltd (NAFED).Additional District Development Commissioner Shopian, Mohammad Saleem Malik, and other concerned officers accompanied the DDC.He said that the necessary facilities and infrastructure is created for proper implementation of the scheme at the New Mega Fruit Mandi Aglar adding that Rupees 31 crore project is being funded under PMDP and NABARD.
