Actress Kriti Kharbanda, who is gearing up for the release of ‘Pagalpanti’, has said that working in a Anees Bazmee’s comedy film is a big deal for her as she has grown up watching 57 year old filmmaker’s films over the years.Kriti Kharbanda was interacting with the media at Kenneth Cole store launch along with her ‘Pagalpati’ co-actor Pulkit Samrat on Saturday in Mumbai.Kriti Kharabanda is paired opposite Pulkit Samrat in ‘Pagalpanti’, talking about the film, she said, “I have finished dubbing for the film today so, I had watched the film before the climax but today, I watched the climax of the film and I am feeling so proud the way we have made film. It’s not about just happiness and the excitement, it’s also about pride.”Kriti added saying that it’s a big deal for to work in a Anees Bazmee film, she said, “I have always said that people like Pulkit and I represent the Aam Janta (common people) because we don’t belong to the industry. We have made our way into the industry so for person like me, who have grown watching films like ‘No Entry’, ‘Welcome’ and “Welcome Back’ and to be able to work with Anees Bazmee and to be able to work in a good film, it’s a very big deal.”Talking about ‘Pagalpanti’, Pulkit said, “I have seen the film. It’s very interesting and funny film. I think it’s Anees (Bazmee) sir’s one of the best movies and its very exciting and good film so, I would like to urge the audience to go and watch the film in theatres.”
Kriti’s last release ‘Housefull 4’ has grossed Rs 249 crores at the box-office including overseas collection, talking about success of the film, Kriti said, “I am glowing and I am feeling very happy about it.”Kriti said that it was really sweet gesture from the team of ‘Housefull 4’ to promote ‘Pagalpanti’, she said, “‘Housefull 4’ was schedule to release on 25th October and trailer of ‘Pagalpanti’ released on 22nd October so, while we were promoting ‘Housefull 4’, I was talking on the phone with my team of ‘Pagalpanti’ so, Akshay (Kumar) sir asked me ‘what are you doing?’ so I told him that ‘Pagalpanti’s trailer has been released and I am tweeting about it’ so, he told me in funny manner that ‘are you giving competition to me? As you are sitting for one film’s promotion but doing promotion of other film.’ But after that day, my entire ‘Housefull 4’ team talked about ‘Pagalpanti’ in our every interview and I thought that was very sweet gesture from their side.” When asked Pulkit what is his style statement, he said, “I like to be comfortable in whatever I wear. I think shoes in this store are really beautiful, colourful and at the same time, they are very comfortable to wear so for me, comfort is the first thing and look is the second thing. I prefer to look at internal beauty as compared to external beauty.”Talking about her style statement, Kriti said, “Comfort is of course important but for me, style is also very important. When you walk on a red carpet of a certain event, you are creating a style statement. There is a reason you have a fan following and they want to know what you are wearing so, I think style is also equally important to me along with comfort.”‘Pagalpanti’ is directed by Anees Bazmee and produced by Bhushan Kumar, Abhishek Pathak, Krishan Kumar and Kumar Mangat Pathak.The film stars an ensemble cast of Anil Kapoor, John Abraham, Ileana D'Cruz, Arshad Warsi, Pulkit Samrat, Kriti Kharbanda, Urvashi Rautela and Saurabh Shukla.It is scheduled to be release on 22 November 2019.
