Commissioner Secretary, Social Welfare Department, Manoj Kumar Dwivedi today directed the officers to spread awareness regarding the scholarship schemes to enable all eligible persons to get the benefits.He was speaking at a meeting convened to discuss ways to achieve 100% Coverage under Beneficiary Centric Schemes.Secretary, Higher Education Department, Talat Parvez, Secretary Youth Services and Sports, Sarmad Hafeez and other concerned officials were present in the meeting.M K Dwivedi sought details about the status of various Central Schemes in Jammu and Kashmir and said that more awareness is needed so that all the eligible are benefited and no one is left out in the process.He directed the officers to see to it that all eligible avail the scholarships and the benefits are transferred through Direct Benefit Transfer Mode.He also stressed that corrective measures should be adopted so that transparency is maintained in the whole process.It was given out in the meeting that counselling cum facilitation centres will be established at school and college level so that students are able to fill in their forms correctly. It was also said that the counselling centres will help in recommending all the eligible candidates and avail the benefits under the scholarship schemes. The officers assured to meet the targets within the stipulated time.
