Large number of people paid their obeisance on the fourth day of the functions today being organized by the Punjab Government in holy city of Sultanpur Lodhi during the 550th birth anniversary of Guru Nanak Dev Ji. As the day of Parkash Purb approaches, the footfall of devotees is on the rise in the Main Pandal where groups of various religious organizations and dhadi jathas had been visiting this city to make the people aware about the teachings of Guru Nanak Dev Ji. The Health and Family Welfare Minister Punjab Balbir Singh Sidhu and Sports Minister Punjab Rana Gurmeet Singh Sodhi also paid obeisance today as humble devotees. Also the members of spiritual gurmat music and Bhai Harbans Singh Namdhari recited the Guru's prayers and teachings to the sangat through kirtan durbar. Bhai Davinder Singh Hazuri Ragi Sri Darbar Sahib also reached the main pandal and recited the gurbani kirtan, Shabad Guru and Bhai Amarjit Singh recited the Asa's song. After this, Bhai Jaspal Singh's jatha portrayed the life and stories of Guru Nanak Dev Ji through Dhadi Waar. The biography was also presented through the Khadi Waras and Bhai Harpreet Singh's jatha also shared the teachings of guru through Kavishri. Kirtani Jatha of children from Sri Bheni Sahib and Dr. Alankar Singh from Punjabi University Patiala instilled religious fervor throughout the area by their religious prayers and music.Kathavachak Bhai Jaswinder Singh also described the 550th Parkash Purb of Guru Nanak Dev Ji as a valuable and fortunate opportunity for those present in Sultanpur Lodhi and urged them to follow the path of Guru Sahib's teachings naam Japo, vand shako and kirt karo.
