Rashtriya Ekta Diwas (National Unity Day) that marks birth anniversary of Sardar Vallahbhai Patel was observed across Kashmir and Ladakh for unity, integrity and security of the country.In Srinagar Divisional Commissioner Kashmir, Baseer Ahmad Khan today held a pledge ceremony at his office which was repeated by the officials of the Div Com, Kashmir office.“I solemnly pledge that I dedicate myself to preserve the unity, integrity and security of the nation and also strive hard to spread this message among my fellow countrymen. I take this pledge in the spirit of unification of my country which was made possible by the vision and actions of Sardar Vallahbhai Patel. I also solemnly resolve to make my own contribution to ensure internal security of my country,” Div Com read in his pledge.Additional Commissioners of Kashmir including Bilal Ahmed Bhat and Tassaduq Hussain Mir were present on the occasion.Another function was organized at Directorate of Horticulture Rajbagh Srinagar under the Chairmanship of Director Horticulture Kashmir Ajaz Ahmad Bhat. All the staff members were present in the meeting.
At Kulgam: District administration Kulgam in collaboration with district Police organized a Run for Unity at district headquarters Kulgam.ADDC, Additional-SP, ADC, ACR, Assistant Commander, CRPF 18th Btn, officers from ITBP, Dy-SP Hqt and various officers were present on the occasion.The run for unity was flagged- off by District Development Commissioner, (DDC) Kulgam Showkat Aijaz Bhat from district police lines which culminated at mini secretariat Kulgam.The run for unity was attended by large number of employees from youth services and sports department, Aasha workers, Aaganwadi workers, police personnel and other departments. The program was organized in sprit of national integrity.On the occasion a pledge ceremony was also held.
At Bandipora: the Run for Unity was organised by the district administration from mini secretariat Bandipora to Chittarnar. DDC Bandipora Shahbaz Ahmad Mirza, SSP Bandipora Rahul Malik, ACR Bandipora Riyaz Ahmad Beigh, and District Information Officer Bandipora besides the district level officers of all departments were present on the occasion. Students from various institutions also participated in the run.
In Budgam:- District Administration Budgam today celebrated Rashtriya Ekta Divas, a mega Run for Unity event was organized jointly by District Administration, Education Department, District Youth Services and Sports and Police Department.
At Kupwara: DDC Kupwara Anshul Garg flagged off the Run for Unity rally at Degree College Kupwara which ended at Tourist Reception Centre. The run was organized by District Administration in collaboration with District youth service and Sports Department, in which hundreds of participants participated.
At Ganderbal: DDC Ganderbal, Hashmat Ali Khan today flagged off a grand “Run for Unity” rally taken out by the students, police personals teachers, civil society members, media persons, district officers from the PTS Manigam which culminated at Tehsil office Lar, Ganderbal.Meanwhile, the National Unity pledge was also administered by the DDC among district Officers and other Government employees in the lawns of Mani Secretariat Ganderbal to foster and reinforce the dedication to preserve and strengthen unity, integrity and security of the nation.
At Baramulla: To mark National Unity Day, various activities were carried out in the district. The District Administration Baramulla in collaboration with Youth Services and Sports Department, Nehru Yuva Kendra and various departments organized a run for unity today.The run was flagged off by Deputy Commissioner Baramulla in presence of SSP Baramulla from DC Office which culminated at Dak Bungalow Baramulla. Students, employees of various departments, police, sports persons and NYCC participated in the run.The Oath ceremony was also held on the occasion during which the participants pledged to preserve the unity, integrity and security of the nation.
At Anantnag: A pledge taking ceremony was held in DDC Office Anantnag, in which DDC Anantnag Khalid Jahangir along with ADDC, ADCs all the district and sectorial officers participated.Meanwhile CEO PDA Pahalgam Dr Nasir Ahmad Lone in presence of SDM Pahalgam Fahim Ahmad, DYSSO Anantnag and other officers, flagged off “Run for Unity” at Nunwan Pahalgam, in which 450 students and YSS Department staff members participated.
At KARGIL: Executive Councilor for Social Welfare Aga Syed Mujtaba Mosavi and DDC and CEO, LAHDC, Kargil Baseer ul Haq Choudhary flagged off run for unity from Conference Hall Baroo here today.Superintendent of Police Kargil Dr Vinod Kumar, Additional Deputy Commissioner Kargil Sonam Chosjor, Additional Superintendent of Police Khalid Amin, Chief Engineer PHE and Irrigation Ladakh Nazir Ahmad Bhat, Superintending Engineer PWD Kargil, newly elected Chairmen of the Block Development Councils (BDCs) of the district, district officers and officials besides students of Special Area Games Centre of Sports Authority of India (SAI) Centre Kargil and students of various schools participated in the run.The run for unity after passing through Baroo Bazar Road later culminated at Tourist Facilitation Centre (TFC) Kargil.Yet another pledge ceremony of Rashtriya Ekta Dewas-2019 at Armed Police Complex Parihaspora was today jointly organized by IRP-3rd, IRP-9th & IRP-20th Battalions.The Rashtriya Ekta Dewas pledge was read out by SSP, CO-IRP-20th Bn, Baqar Samoon which was repeated by all the officer and officials of all the units.During pledge taking ceremony, all the officer and officials pledged to dedicate themselves to preserve the unity, integrity and security of the nation.
