The Forest Minister, Sadhu Singh Dharamsot today assured that the process to regularize the services of the daily wager labourers of the Forest Department covered by the State Government policy would begin soon.In a meeting here today with the various employee organizations of the forest department, S. Dharamsot said that the officials must release the seniority list of the daily wagers by 31st of December. He also directed that the seniority list should be finalized after inviting objections from all the employee organizations by 30th November. He further directed the screening committee formed regarding the seniority list, to hold a special meeting in the first week of November and dispose off the pending issues too.The minister further gave directions  regarding the release of the salaries of the daily wage labourers pending since 2-3 months and asked the officials to ensure the timely release of the same in future. He also reiterated that the other just demands of the organizations would be met soon. Among other dignitaries present on the occasion included the Additional Chief Secretary Forests Dr. Roshan Sunkaria, Principal Chief Conservator of Forests Mr. Jatinder Sharma, MD Punjab State Forest Development Corporation Mr. Harinder Singh Grewal, Conservator and Chairman Screening Committee Mr. Nirmaljit Singh Randhawa and the senior officers of the department.
