A meeting between Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Chief Secretary Dr Shrikant Baldi and Additional Chief Secretary Manoj Kumar was held at New Delhi today. During the  meeting, Dr Baldi apprised the Prime Minister about the preparations for holding the Global Investors Meet at Dharamshala on 7th and 8th November, 2019. He briefed him about  the efforts made by the state government for the event in detail during last one year and about the number of countries participating in the event as well as investment likely to be  attracted.Prime Minister appreciated the efforts of the state government and assured to attend the mega event. He promised full support for strengthening industrial sector in  Himachal Pradesh. He made few suggestions for attracting larger investment to the state and asked to focus upon sectors like Tourism, Manufacturing, Skill Development, etc and  developing traditional areas like ayurveda, horticulture and other local resources based industry for a vibrant economy.Dr Baldi and Manoj Kumar assured the Prime Minister to  work upon the suggestions at the earliest.
