In a first Diplomatic visit towards the celebration of upcoming 550th Prakash Purab of Guru Nanak Dev Ji , the High Commissioner of Ghana Michael Nil Nortey Oquaye and Hon'ble Railway Minister of Republic of Ghana Mr. Joe Ghartey and diplomats from Ghana High Commission, New Delhi today paid obeisance at Gurudwara Ber Sahib Sultanpur Lodhi.Terming their visit as " life time experience" the delegation advocates to strengthen the ties with India ,especially Punjab in the field of culture and agriculture. They also said that the visit to this holy city is a respect towards the message of Guru Nanak Dev ji for brotherhood and world peace . The delegates said that they are highly impressed at this pious place.Railway Minister of Republic of Ghana Mr. Joe Ghartey, who also visited the Rail Coach factory Kapurthala said that the African continent looking towards the technical assistance from the world class units like RCF to strengthen Rail connectivity and employment generation.
They also thanked the Chief Minister of Punjab Captain Amarinder Singh for hospitality.Earlier MLA Sultanpur Lodhi Mr. Navtej Singh Cheema , Deputy commissioner DPS Kharbanda, Manager Gurdwara shri Ber sahib Satnam Singh welcomed the delegation, whereas advocate Harpreet Singh Sandhu , Dr. Jagtar Dhiman, Prof. Harjeshwar Pal Singh, Mr. Abhishek Vij, Mr. Rajan Mago, Mr. Gurshminder Singh and Mr. Kanwaldeep Singh presented portrait of Gurudwara Ber Sahib dedicated to commemorate 550th Prakash Purab of Guru Nanak Dev ji to the Delegation from Ghana. The Manager Satnam Singh honoured High Commissioner of Ghana, Hon’ble Railway Minister of Ghana and other Diplomats from Ghana High Commission with "Sirpao" during their visit. High Commissioner of Ghana particularly thanked Mr. Harpreet Sandhu, Advocate for coordinating this visit of the Ghana Delegation to the holy city, Sultanpur Lodhi. SDM Dr. Charumita and other officials also accompanied the delegates.
