Chief Secretary Dr. Shrikant Baldi today directed the concerned departments to play a proactive role and get in touch with major International Companies which would be holding Business to Government (B2G) meetings with the Himachal Pradesh Government during the Global Investors Meet at Dharamshala, latest by October 25, 2019.Dr. Baldi, who was presiding over all review meeting of Global Investors Meet to be held on November 7 and 8, 2019, here today, said that lots of foreign and Indian delegates are coming for the Meet and they are coming with a special purpose to sign MoUs and do business. Therefore, the concerned departments should get Request for Proposal (RFP) bidding done so as to finalize the MoUs and separate officers should be appointed for B2B (Business to Business) meetings to facilitate the investments to be done in the private sector.He directed the Industries Department to give him report after every two days regarding the tie-ups finalized regarding B2G meetings. In case if there is any issue in connecting with the companies, he will pursue the matter himself. He directed all the concerned departments to exchange their email id's and contact numbers of nodal officers and liaison officers with the foreign delegates to facilitate them. He said, "The investors should feel satisfied that they have got the best from us (Himachal Pradesh Government) and we should also get the best from them", he added.Dr. Baldi also directed all concerned departments to prepare brochures containing details of investable projects, availability of land (Government as well as private), incentives available, contact numbers of nodal officers etc so that the same could be given to the investors to give them first hand information of potential investment opportunities.Chairman, ASSOCHAM, Europe, Dr. Vikas Chaturvedi, who was coordinating with foreign delegates to bring them to the Meet, informed about potential MoU's to be signed during the Meet. 

He said that the key sectors in which MoU's would be signed included agriculture, horticulture, food processing, infrastructure, education and tourism. In Agriculture Sector, potential MOUs would be signed on increasing yield of crops, enhancing crop quality, protection of crop and skill development of farmers. Similarly under Horticulture Sector, MOU would be signed on green house and in the food processing sector, MOU would be signed on cold storage. He said that in the infrastructure sector, MOU would be signed on drinking water, waste water and waste to energy. In the Tourism sector, MOUs would be signed on ropeways, eco resort, electric vehicle, all weather adventure sports centre and Shimla Ice skating rink. He said that in the education sector MOU would be signed on applied sciences. Apart from this, a MOU would be signed on Rural livelihood mission for women empowerment.It was informed in the meeting that the proposed B2G meetings would be held with delegates of various countries namely UAE, Netherlands, Germany, Oman, Russia, US India Business Council (USIBC), Vietnam, Cambodia and Malaysia. The major companies which are expected to hold B2G meetings included Amazon, Pfizer, Procter and Gamble of India, LuLu International, BRS Ventures, Emaar Properties, Global Technologies and Consultancy Services, Pro Global Logistics, Sunny General Trading LLC., Giant Group, TUV Austria, Ayana Holding, Twenty14 Holdings and Global Marketing System of United Arab Emirates, FIZ Frankfurter Innovationszentrum Biotechnologie GmbH and Prexma Limited of Germany, Air Himalayas Aircrafts and Adventures Pvt Ltd of Switzerland, The London Sports Surgery Clinic of United Kingdom, MKS Group, Bahrain, Druzhba Narodov Nova JSC of Russia, Global Natural Resources Inc of USA and SSR Group of Companies of Canada.On this occasion, Chief Secretary thanked Dr. Vikas Chaturvedi for bringing large number of delegates to the Meet and directed all the concerned officers to get in touch with Dr. Vikas for contacting with the major companies.He also directed that all necessary arrangements should be made for movement of foreign as well as Indian delegates from Delhi and Chandigarh to the Meet venue.Additional Chief Secretary Industries Manoj Kumar, Principal Secretary to Chief Minister Sanjay Kundu and other senior officers of concerned departments were also present in the meeting.
