PSIEC & India Post team up to provide commemorative medallions to general public

“The Punjab Small Industries & Export Corporation (PSIEC) has been assigned the task of getting the commemorative medallions in connection with the 550th Prakash Purb celebrations of Sahib Sri Guru Nanak Dev Ji, minted and make the same available to the general public. The PSIEC has now teamed up with the India Post to provide these medallions to the people.” Disclosing this here today, the Managing Director, PSIEC Mr. Sibin C said that the medallions were officially launched on the 26th June, 2019 by the Chief Minister, Punjab.Welcoming the Chief Post Master General (CPMG), India Post, Punjab Circle, Chandigarh Mr. Anil Kumar, the MD, PSIEC said that these commemorative medallions have been certified from MMTC  for 999 purity and are available in 24K Gold 5 7 10 Gms and in 50 Gms pure silver (999 Purity) with attractive blister packing. He also said that the PSIEC is also exploring tie up with M/s Amazon and other e-commerce players for easy access of these medallions to the people.It is also worth mentioning that these medallions the price of 10 gm gold (999 purity) is Rs. 45000, Rs. 22,500 for 5 gm gold (999 purity) and Rs. 3300 for 50 gms silver (999 purity). These are being sold to the general public through Phulkari-Punjab Government Emporiums of PSIEC situated at Chandigarh, Amritsar, Patiala, New Delhi and Kolkata. These would also be sold at the selected 22 treasury locations of India Post, Punjab Circle, Chandigarh all across Punjab.The Chief Post Master General, India Post divulged that there are around 3800 post offices across the State of Punjab through which the possibility of delivering these medallions at the doorstep of the people would be explored besides selling the same by booking and delivery PAN India via their e-commerce portal. The possibility of selling these medallions in New Delhi, Mumbai, Patna and Sri Hazoor Sahib where large number of Sikh community is settled, would also be explored.
