Dr. Narinder Bhargav, Senior Superintendent of Police, Mansa stated that District Police Mansa is on high vigil due to festival season. Mostly People purchase more new items in the festival days, taking advantage of this criminal elements takes advantage of this and sell duplicate items in the market, in guise of original items during these days, to earn more profit. Two days back, Mansa police succeeded to recover huge duplicate batteries and other mobile items worth Crores of Rupees. In continuation of that, Mansa Police apprehended two more persons namely Ashwani Kumar and Rajiv Kumar both S/o Madan Lal R/o Mansa along with Car and a separate case is registered against these accused in PS Sadar Mansa. Mansa Police has succeeded to recover a huge quantity of Duplicate Mobile Phone/Duplicate Batteries etc from these accused also. Total Market value of these recovered items is 34,08,300/-Rs approximately. Senior Superintendent of Police Mansa added that Mansa Police got information that Ashwani Kumar and Rajiv Kumar R/o Mansa are selling duplicate China made mobile batteries bearing the Logo of Samsung, Jio, Apple, MI etc in the markets like Mansa, Maur, Talwandi Sabo, Bathinda etc, instead of the original items and earning more profit and collecting money of public. They are today, coming on the car for supplying their duplicate items. On the above information Case No 329 date 16-10-19 u/s 420,473,120-B IPC, 63, 65 Copy Right Act 1957 PS Sadar Mansa has registered.Acting on the information under the supervision of Sh. Harjinder Singh, PPS, DSP (SD) Mansa, Asi Avtar Singh incharge PP Behniwal along with police Party placed a Naka at Bus Stand Behniwal and stopped a Car bearing No HR 26AQ-2200 Mahindra Logon and above said accused apprehended on the spot. Car was searched and 1080 duplicate mobiles of Panasonic Company, 610 various company bearing duplicate batteries like Samsung, Apple etc, 320 Head Phones, 1010 data Cables, 745 Mobile screens (large/small), 400 Mobile chargers, 45 wrappers of MI Company, 109 Nokia/Jio Wrappers etc, are recovered. During initial interrogation Accused told that they are in this business from last 4 years. They brought these duplicate mobiles batteries from Delhi and other states without any bill or tax and sale these duplicate items in various cities of Punjab like Mansa, Jhunir, Bhikhi, Maur Mandi, Rama Mandi, Talwandi Sabo posing as if these are original and earn huge amount.Arrested Accused will be produced in Hon'ble Court and police remand will be taken and investigation will be carried out to find out the backward and forward linkage of this FIR No: 329 date 16-10-19 u/s 420,473,120-B IPC, 63,65 Copy Right Act 1957 PS Sadar Mansa
