Chief Secretary Dr. Shrikant Baldi directed all the administrative secretaries and heads of the departments to tie up with potential investors and make all out efforts to rope them for the signing of MOU's specially in sectors like power, tourism and industries during Global Investors Meet. He said the efforts should be made to finalise the list of Big Ticket MOU's by 20th October, 2019.He was reviewing the second meeting of the Organizing Committee set up for the Global Investors Meet, here today.He directed the various committees set up for the smooth functioning of the Meet to ensure proper arrangements for visit of the delegates and to attach a liaison Officers with the VVIP delegates.The Chief Secretary directed the Transport Committee to make air transport arrangements from Chandigarh to Gaggal besides additional flights from Delhi to Gaggal airport from 6-9 November. He directed to setup help desks at various airports for the assistance of delegates and to create a mobile application for travel booking and also to assign experts in hotel booking.He directed the Kangra district administration to carry out beautification of Dharamshala town and surrounding areas and identifying locations for putting up 150 hoardings of the Meet at Gaggal, Dharamshala and Kangra. He also directed to put up hoardings on Una-Dharamshala, Pathankot-Dharamshala and Shimla-Dharamshala national highways.Dr. Baldi directed Sectoral Committee to invite local power producers, hoteliers, people engaged in eco-tourism, adventure tourism to attend the sectoral sessions besides the potential investors. He said experts from Himachal Pradesh would also be invited as speakers for sectoral sessions to highlight the various potential sectors for investment in the state.He directed all committees to work in close co-ordination and ensuring training of liaison officers attached with the delegates. He directed to ensure security at the venue of the investors meet, hotels, airports and other important places and security of VVIP's and emergency services.He directed the HOD's to share the main features and reforms in policies of their concerned departments highlighting the potential of Himachal Pradesh in various sectors with the committee for compilation of video presentation which would be presented during the inaugural session. Apart from this, a presentation regarding details of two-day Global Investors Meet, MOU's signed and future plans would be presented during the valedictory session. Additional Chief Secretary Industries Manoj Kumar, Principal Secretary IPR Sanjay Kundu and Administrative secretaries, Heads of Departments, Representatives of National Partner-CII, Media Partner-Square Communications, Knowledge Partner-EY and Event Partner-ICE were also present on the occasion.
