At least 14 people including a policeman and a journalist were wounded Saturday in a grenade blast outside Deputy Commissioner’s Office in Anantnag district, an official said.Unknown person hurled a grenade on a security patrol at around 11 am however, it missed the target and exploded on the roadside, causing injuries to over a dozen people.Of the injured, which included a 12-year-old child, a traffic cop and a local journalist, three sustained critical injuries in the attack, official told wire service—Kashmir News Observer (KNO). The area has been cordoned off by security forces and a hunt has been launched to nab the person behind the attack.No outfit has so far claimed responsibility for the attack.This is the second attack on security forces in the Kashmir Valley since the abrogation of Jammu and Kashmir's special status.On September 28, a grenade was hurled at CRPF personnel in downtown Srinagar.The grenade was hurled at CRPF's 38 battalion personnel deployed on law and order duty in NawaKadal area.  (KNO)
