Navratra Festival: All India Devotional Song Competition enters day 4

The All India Devotional Song Competition today entered fourth day here today with Additional Development Commissioner Ramesh Kumar inaugurating the  programme.In the preliminary round of the competition, Mahima Choudhary from Jammu clinched the first position while the second position was secured by Sunny  Sandeep from Batala. Besides, the third position was held by Vijay Kumar of Himachal Pradesh. Of the total 10 participants, 6 were from outside while others were from  J&K. The winners were rewarded with cash prizes of Rs 10000, Rs 5000 and Rs 3000 respectively.The performances were adjudged by a panel of experts in music  including popular singer Balraj, Dr Usha Bhagati, Dr Surinder Kumar Sharma and Dr CL Verma.Later, Amrinder Bobby enthralled the audience with his melodious voice  while former winner Shubh also presented devotional songs on the occasion.The proceedings of competition were conducted by Chairman of the competition, Rakesh  Wazir.Other popular singers and former winners who will present their guest performances at the competition included Jaan Heer and Anshu Sharma on October 4, Dr  Sumangal Arora and Chaman Lehari on October 5 and Rampy Saaz and Nikhil Majotra on October 6. The live telecast of the event is available on Shradha Mh One from  9 PM onwards daily. The Grand finale of the All India Devotional Song Competition will be held on October 7 which is being organized by SMVD Shrine Board and  Department of Tourism, J&K Bank and Shraddha Mh One in collaboration with support of Shri Mata Vaishno Devi Narayana Super Specialist Hospital, Surya Milk, Tiwari  Super Speciality Hospital Farokhabad, Pure Roots Herbal, Nidesh Builders Pvt. Ltd. Jammu, Divinity, 92.7 Big FM, Yog Ashram Trust, District Administration Reasi and  the local community.
