CGC Landran Players selected for AIU Inter-Varsity Cross Country Tournament

The Men and Women Team of Chandigarh Group of Colleges, Landran won the overall Gold in the IKGPTU Inter-College Cross Country 2019 which was held at Gulzar Group of Institute, Khanna. The Tournament witnessed the participation of 11 Men and 7 Girls Teams from Various colleges who competed for a 10 Km long run. 6 Players (3 Men and 3 Women) from CGC Landran were finally selected for the AIU Inter-varsity Cross country which is to be held at Mangalore University for Men on 6th October 2019 and Andhra University for Women on 10th October 2019.Pradeep Singh and Rahul Duhan, Engineering Students, while Rajesh Singh, 2nd year B.Com student of CGC Landran got shortlisted in the Men’s Category. In the Women’s Category, Shalika, Neha Yadav and Anupam from the Business Department of the College have been selected for the Inter Varsity Tournament. “I completed the 10Km run in 50 minutes during the Inter-College tournament and for the upcoming Inter-Varsity tournament, we will be undergoing a rigorous training from 28 Sep – 5 Oct at GGI, Khanna. This is my first year at CGC Landran and the regular Trainings as well as scheduled diets at the hostel premises have been really helpful” shares Shalika.
