District Development Commissioner Sushma Chauhan today chaired a meeting to review the performance of Rural Development department.The DDC reviewed the progress under the flagship programmes like MGNREGA, PMAY, SBM and 14th FC being implemented by Rural Development Department in the district.The meeting was attended by Assistant Commissioner Development, Chief Planning officers, District Panchayat Officer, Block Development Officers, Engineers from REW, Public Works, Power Development and Flood &Irrigation Departments, besides officers from concerned departments.The DDC reviewed block and Panchayat wise performance under PMAY (G) and set the timelines for completion of all pending works, while directions were passed to expedite the pace of developmental works. She also took stock of physical and financial achievements under SBM (G) and MGNREGA schemes.She further stressed on improving performance under the key schemes and uploading Physical completion of the works on MIS.The DDC directed the BDOs and executing agencies to accelerate the pace of work in their respective areas, adopt innovative methods for effective implementation of schemes and involve people in the development process.Earlier, the DDC chaired a meeting to review the progress of works being executed under “Back to Village Programme.”The DDC asked the concerned officers of RDD, PWD, PDD, PHE and others to make effective plans so that the targets are achieved within stipulated time.
