An awareness rally on Plastic Waste Management "Swachta Hi Seva 2019 was today flagged off by district Development Commissioner (DDC) Kupwara Anshul Garg with a pledge to aware people about harmful effects of plastic waste.The DDC directed the concerned that the mission is to eradicate polythene from every nook and corner of the district and to ensure proper implementation of the Swachta Hi Seva campaign. The DDC held a separate meeting with Revenue Officers to discuss various issues regarding completion of Jamabandies, eviction of state/kahcharai land, attestation of mutation camps, relief cases, preparation and conduct of BDC elections across the district.In the meeting Tehsildars were directed to send the details of mutation camps and public outreach programmes to this office by the 5th of October 2019.The DC also directed Tehsildars of the district who will also act magisterates for upcoming BDC elections to visit the polling station of every block across the district with concerned SHOs and other concerned officers to check the feasibility of polling stations and ensure the smooth conduct of BDC election across the district.The meeting was attended by ADC, ACR, SDM Karnah, DY DEO, Tehsildars and other concerned.
