In order to provide governance at the door steps of people and to ensure the grievances redressal mechanism at every level, District Development Commissioner, Dr. Piyush Singla, today conducted public outreach cum grievances redressal camp in far flung area of Latti and Dudu of the district.Chief Planning Officer, Rajeev Bhushan, Assistant Commissioner Development, Neelam Khajuria, SDM Dudu, Pardeep Singh, ARTO, Rachna Sharma, DIO, Er. Sajad Bashir Somberia, AD FCS&CA, Mohd Arif Lone, Chief Medical Officer, Dr. K.C Dogra, Executive Engineers PWD (R&B) Ajay Kumar, Executive Engineer PDD, Rajinder Gupta, Executive Engineer PHE, Chief Agriculture Officer, Jahangir Shafi, Chief Horticulture Officer, Brij Vallabh Gupta besides sector and Tehsil level officers of various departments, Sarpanchs, Panchs, prominent citizens and people in large number attended the camp.Enroute, several deputations met DDC and projected their demands and problems lack of staff in health and education centers, augmentation of drinking water, uninterrupted power supply, etc.Responding to the demands of representatives of various areas of the Sub-Division, the DDC issued on the spot instructions to various officers to look into these issues on priority.
At Chenani, DDC flagged off new bus service to Bain area.DDC inspected food processing unit run by self help group sponsored by Horticulture department and interacted with its members and appreciated their efforts and assured proper marketing of their products. At Panchayat Bupp, the DDC inaugurated newly constructed Panchayat Ghar and interacted with PRIs and public of the Panchayat.At Latti, public of adjoining Panchayat of Tehsil Latti, Sarpanchs, panchs of different Panchayats projected scores of issues and demands which included lack of staff in PHCs, adequate drinking water and uninterrupted power supply to the Tehsil, highlighted dilapidated conditions of various PMGSY and PWD roads, up gradation of health centres .DDC directed the officers of different departments to organize awareness camps in these areas to aware the general public about various government schemes so that they can avail maximum benefits.DDC sanctioned 4 transformers for augmentation of power infrastructure for the area. He appreciated the performance of Agriculture and Horticulture department for promotion of organic farming in the area. He said that a shop near DC Office will be allotted for display and sale of these products.DDC asked SDM Dudu to identify land for flower cultivation where different varieties of flowers can be cultivated and displayed and a cluster of Floriculture will be developed in Latti area. The DDC assured early mitigation of the genuine problems of the Public of the area.
