The Punjab Industries and Commerce Department officials and employees have voluntarily donated Rs. 8,25,000 to the Chief Minister's Relief Fund.Disclosing this here today a spokesperson of the Punjab Government said that the Chief Minister had decided to contribute towards the financial assistance to the needy. According to the spokesperson, none of the officers or employees was asked to make a statutory sum, but to make voluntary financial contributions. He said that all the officials and employees had collected a sum of Rs 8,25,000 in a very short time.The spokesperson further said that the amount collected by the officers and employees was handed over to the Chief Minister Captain Amarinder Singh by the Mr. Sundar Sham Arora, Additional Chief Secretary Mrs.Vini Mahajan and CEO of Invest Punjab Mr. Rajat Aggarwal.
