Underscoring state Governments commitment to ensure seamless milling of paddy and delivery of Custom Milled Rice into the Central Pool, the Food and Supplies Minister Bharat Bhushan Ashu on Tuesday assured the rice millers that all their concerns had been addressed in the just issued paddy policy for the current year.Interacting with the representatives of the rice millers association here at Annaz Bhawan, Ashu said he was confident that state would once again complete the milling process well before the stipulated time. He urged the millers to ensure compliance of all provisions of the Milling Policy.The Minister was interacting with the millers after a department PPT presentation on the KMS Policy. Earlier in the PowerPoint Presentation presentation about the new policy officer of department describe all aspects like the sole criterion for allotment of free paddy to mills during KMS 2019-20 would be the miller's performance in the previous year i.e. KMS 2018-19., security of paddy stocks, bank guarantee and  Custom Milling Security, a provision for initiation of criminal proceedings under relevant sections of the Indian Penal Code (IPC) and Essential Commodities Act (ECA) has been added in case any diversion of NFSA/PDS rice, paddy/rice purchased in his own account and stored in the mill is genuine trade commodity and not diverted from rice meant form the welfare schemes, purchase of minimum 150 MTs of paddy in his own account, blacklisting of mills.Efficient and time-bound redressal of any dispute, fees to send the surplus paddy within a district or outside.
