Deputy Commissioner Jalandhar Mr. Varinder Kumar Sharma and Commissioner of Police Mr. Gurpreet Singh Bhullar today said that the state government would bear the entire expenditure on the treatment of Mr. Gurpreet Singh Gopi, who was injured in firing on Saturday.The Deputy Commissioner and Commissioner of Police, who visited the Global hospital today to enquire about the health of the injured youth, said that Gopi has regained consciousness and was responding to verbal communication. Both the officers said that the hospital authorities have been already asked to ensure best available treatment to the injured youth so that he recuperates at the earliest. Both the officers also went to the Intensive Care Unit (ICU) of the hospital and interacted with the youth regarding his health.Meanwhile, Dr. Navjot Dahia and Dr. Inderjeet Sood, of global hospital, Jalandhar, who were treating the injured, said that the surgery of the youth was very successful. They said that the youth was out of danger and was recovering swiftly.
