IEI organized International Conference on “Electronics and Communication, Renewable Energy and IOT’s Vision 2040”

Punjab & Chandigarh state center of Institution of Engineers (IEI) in association with Baba Banda Singh Bahadur Engineering College Fatehgarh Sahib today organized a two day International Conference on “Electronics and Communication, Renewable Energy and IOT’s Vision 2040” at Engineers Bhawan, Sector 19A Chandigarh.The conference was inaugurated by Dr. K.K. Aggarwal Chairman of the National Board of Accreditation (NBA), responsible for gradation of the Technical Institutions. Also present on the occasion were IEI National Chairman Dr. Gunaraja & other dignitaries of National & International repute.While speaking about this international conference IEI Chairman Punjab & Chandigarh Er JR Garg said that the aim is to present current researches being carried out in the areas of Electronics, Communication and Information Technology and Electrical Engineering for scientists, scholars, engineers and students from the universities, technologists, entrepreneurs and policymakers all around the World. Thus, the conference provided opportunities for the delegates to exchange new ideas and application experiences face to face and to establish research relations.In the two days event, 06 technical sessions for academicians & researchers & 02 sessions for the students were organized. Some of the international delegates also presented their research paper through Video Conferencing. 

Er JR Garg also informed that Vice Chancellor of IKG Punjab Technical University (PTU) Jalandhar Dr. Ajay Sharma will be the Chief Guest of the closing ceremony to be held on 8th Sept 2019 & Maj. Gen. Dr. G.S. Lamba Principal of BBSB Engg College will be the Guest of Honor.Vice Chancellor of IKG-PTU Jalandhar, Dr. Ajay Sharma will share his valuable experiences on how introduction of these areas in the curriculum of the budding engineers has enhanced sustainability of the solutions to the current engineering problems. He will also highlight the importance of IoT in healthcare in General & Post – Operative care in particular.  Dr. AP Singh of SLIET Longowal will present the final report of the Conference, benefits of the renewable energy generation techniques with a vision of about next two decades (Vision 2040).The researchers and engineers coming from academia and industries interacted for the advancements of this technical sector and shared best practices and thereby learn to transform their own research findings through step towards ‘Make in India’ campaign. This conference will act as a path which leads to the search for knowledge. The conference focused on Improving researcher’s retention and success, enhancing researcher’s development and learning and supporting well-being and social inclusivity.

The foundation stone of this building was laid in 1966 by Sardar Pratap Singh Kairon, the then Chief Minister of Punjab.  Located in the centre of city beautiful and equipped with all kind of infrastructure to organize such seminars.
