District Administraion SAS Nagar launches web portal to provide employment opportunities

The integrated platform will bring job seekers and employers together: Deputy Commissioner

With an aim to bring job seekers and prospective employers on a single platform, a new web portal named ‘www.ggnpunjab.com’ has been launched today by Deputy Commissioner Mr. Girish Dayalan and Chancellor, Chandigarh University Satnam Singh Sandhu at District Bureau of Employment and Entreprises (DBEE), Sector-76. The web portal has been designed by DBEE with the help of students of Chandigarh University as an integrated platform that brings together database of job seekers and employers across the state.On this Occasion, Mr. Dayalan said that candidates can register on this portal for upcoming job fairs to be held at various locations in the district between 20th to 30th September. He said that this is a unique web-based portal which brings together job aspirants and prospective employers from all sectors. It is a common platform for enabling candidates to register their job interests across various sectors and sub sectors. At the same time it facilitates sourcing of information about candidates available in the market by prospective employers with a view to improve prospects for employment. 

The portal aims to provide a common platform for job seekers to register their job interests across various sectors.The Deputy Commissioner informed that this portal is a unique initiative to harness the skills of youngsters as well as to provide man power to employers. Both candidates and employers would be able to access a wider choice. Candidates will be able to seek job opportunities matching their profiles. Employers will be able to shortlist those suitable to serve their HR requirements as per their company policy through an online medium.”Chancellor, Chandigarh University Mr. Satnam Singh Sandhu said that this is a unique initiative of our students, which will be proved epoch making program. Through this portal, the Administration is facilitating the job aspirants and employer to reach out to each other through a readily accessible medium. Care has been taken to safeguard candidates from fake companies.On the occasion ADC (G) Ms. Sakshi Sawhney, ADC (D) Mr. Amardeep Singh Bains, District Employment Officer Ms. Harpreet Kaur Brar, Deputy CEO DBEE Mr. Manjesh Kumar and Mr. Navneet Singh from CU were present.
