Deputy commissioner Ferozepur Chander Gaind on Tuesday has ordered the officials to begin with the primary assessment of the damage in the flood hit villages of the district as a part of post floods action plan.Presiding over a meeting with the officials of various departments at DC Complex, the deputy commissioner asked the officials to follow the post flood action plan's guidelines in its true letter and spirit.Divulging more, Mr. Gaind said that the revenue officers and Patwaris of the district have been asked to submit detailed reports on the damage to houses, destroyed crops, eroded fields, lose of life (if any) or  injured,  loss of cattle and any other damage caused by the recent floods. Since the water is receding rapidly in the villages, it is time to initiate the primary survey to assess the loss, added the deputy commissioner. The concerned officials have to compile the report by visiting house to house and any kind of callousness in this duty will attract stern action as such negligence in this duty is unwarranted, said Mr. Gaind.
