Commissioner Secretary, Labour and Employment Department Saurabh Bhagat today reviewed working of the Department, here at a meeting. The meeting was attended by Deputy Labour Commissioner Jammu Shahnaz Akhter (KAS) along with District Officers of the Department of Labour, Provident Fund and E.S.I were also present.The Secretary reviewed the progress of the Department of Labour under various Labour Laws/Legislations. The Commissioner Secretary impressed upon the Assistant Labour Commissioners to dispose of the court cases/complaints at the earliest so that the people may not suffer.The Commissioner Secretary also discussed about the preparedness of the Department for upcoming committee of Senior Officers of Government of India to take call on provident fund and E.S.I related issues due to the change of status of J&K to Union Territory.
