District Development Commissioner Budgam Tariq Hussain Ganie today chaired a meeting to review the status and progress achieved under various flagship schemes and developmental programmes initiated by Rural Development Department in the district.The meeting among others was also attended by Director RDD Kashmir Qazi Sarwar, ADC Budgam, Mushtaq Ahmad Simnani, CPO, ACD, DIO, all BDOs, executive engineer REW Budgam along with all AEEs/JEEs, Programme Coordinator, VLWs and GRS, and other concerned.During the meeting, the DDC in detail took a firsthand review of the progress made under MGNREGA, PMAY, 14th FC, Swachh Bharat Mission and “Back to Village” programme during 2019-20 FY.During the meeting, ACD Budgam, Nuzhat Qureshi highlighted the progress made under various schemes including PMAY (G) and MGNREGA through PowerPoint presentation.
While addressing the meeting, the DDC urged upon all concerned officers, agencies to achieve the given out targets of all sectors cent percent before the expiry of current financial year of 2019-20. The DDC instructed the concerned to expedite and complete the spillover works on war footing basis, besides new works shall be started at an earliest.He also directed the concerned to take up one work per Gram Panchayat under “Back to Village” programme with a limit of Rs 1.75 lakh per GP.Urging the officers to work with commitment and full dedication, he said that the department should raise the bar by performing well and create utility assets. The DDC added that all stakeholders should show an element of seriousness while performing assigned tasks. At the outset, Director RDD, Qazi Sarwar said RDD is mandated to uplift the living conditions of poor and underprivileged communities. He urged upon the BDOs/Panchayat secretaries to demonstrate their desire and commitment in implementing all the schemes/flagship programmes in letter and spirit.
