With water level in Satluj river has touched the danger level gauge at 724 feet in Dharamkot following the release of over 2.4 lakh cusec water from Ropar Headworks,  the Deputy Commissioner Moga Sandeep Hans on Monday, has ordered the stationing of companies of National Disaster Relief Force (NDRF) at vulnerable points in  Dharamkot low lying villages.The Deputy Commissioner accompanied by Dharamkot MLA Sukhjeet Singh Kaka Lohgarh, who inspected the level of water at low lying  Sanghera village in Dharamkot subdivision said that NDRF has been requested to remain on standby so that they could handle any kind of emergency and rescue  operations in case of need.He said that four relief centres including in Dharamkot, Kishanpura Kalan, Khamba and Fatehgarh Panjtoor has been set up while the district  administration has also established one emergency centre at Reharhva village where requisite provisions of food and shelter have been made. He said that medical  teams have also been deployed at all the centres for the treatment of the evacuees.

As per the information, there are around 28 affected villages falling in Dharamkot sub-division while two including Sanghera and Kambo Khurd are the most affected and  the district administration has evacuated people from these villages through boats.Deputy Commissioner informed that the district administration staff of Moga and  Ferozepur with the help of villagers have rescued a man and a woman found floating with their goats near Sanghera village, while another man was rescued in Kamalke  village.He informed that water was spilled over the escape channel at Sherpur village but the district administration has managed to control the flow by plugging it and  also strengthened the Dhusi Bandh.Deputy Commissioner said that the district administration has also launched the helpline 01682-220103 for the flood-affected people  that they can contact them for any kind of help.Meanwhile, Additional Deputy Commissioner (development) Rajinder Batra, Sub-Divisional Magistrates (SDM) including  Narinder Singh (Dharamkot) and Gurwinder Singh Johal (Moga) besides acting Civil Surgeon Dr Arvinder Singh Gill were also present at the spot. Social Worker Sant  Shamsher Singh Ji Loponwale, present there, have also offered their support and help to the district administration.
