Full dress rehearsal was conducted today at all the district headquarters in the State as Jammu and Kashmir is all set to celebrate the Independence Day in grand and befitting manner.This was informed by Principal Secretary, Planning, Development & Monitoring, Rohit Kansal who is also spokesperson of J&K Government.He said all the arrangements are in place for the celebrations of Independence Day which falls on August 15. He also said that no report of any significant incident was received in last 24 hours, adding that local authorities are closely monitoring the situation and restrictions are being eased in many areas based on the assessment of local authorities.He further said that there is no dearth of facilities in hospitals, and other public utilities are functioning normally including National Highway, Airport, Hospitals, Power, Water, etc.He said that some reasonable restrictions have been imposed to thwart the ill designs of mischief mongers who are hell bent to disrupt peaceful environment in J&K. Every possible efforts are underway to ease restrictions in the Valley, he added.Mr. Kansal further said that first ever Global Investment Summit is being held in J&K from October 12 to 14 this year and the opening session will be held at Srinagar.
